In this workshop, Kira will introduce you to the flavourful and healthy technique of fermenting our food.
Our physiology depends upon millions of microorganisms, but our food culture has eliminated the life from our meals.
Learn how to safely bring back the richness and complexity that microorganisms contribute to our diet.
Kira will lead a hands-on lesson making Kimchi as well as introduce the procedures for making Kombucha, Kefir, and sourdough starter. Most of these workshops will also include a light hike to forage for wild edibles to include in the ferment.
Participants will be served a fermented food lunch as well as get to take Kimchi home.
Also included will be an Easy Fermenter Wide Mouth Lid Kit to get participants started right away at home fermenting.
The workshop cost is $80.00 per person plus HST, which includes a meal, drinks, and fermenting kit.

We ask guests to arrive between 9:30am and 10:00am. The workshop begins at 10:00am and runs until 1:00pm.
There is a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 8 for this workshop. Payment is refundable if the workshop is cancelled because of insufficient registrations.
